Don´t Give Up / No te rindas By Mario Benedetti.

Don’t Give Up
By Mario Benedetti

Don’t give up, you still have time
to reach up and start new,
Accept your shadows,
Bury your fears,
Free your burdens,
Fly again.

Don’t give up, that’s what life is
Continue the journey,
Follow your dreams,
Unstuck time,
Move the rubble,
And uncover the sky.

Don’t give up, please don’t give way,
Even if the cold burns,
Even if fear bites,
Even if the sun sets,
And the wind goes silent,
There is still fire in your soul
There is still life in your dreams.

Because life is yours and yours is the desire
Because you have loved it and because I love you
Because wine exists and love is true.
Because there are no wounds that time doesn’t cure.

To open the doors,
Take away the locks,
Abandon the walls that have protected you,
To live life and accept the challenge
Get back laughter,
Practice a song,
Lower the guard and extend the hands
Open the wings
And try again,
Celebrate life and take back the skies.

Don’t give up, please don’t give way,
Even if the cold burns,
Even if fear bites,
Even if the sun sets,
And the wind goes silent,
There is still fire in your soul
There is still life in your dreams.

Because every day is a new beginning,
Because this is the hour and the best moment.
Because you are not alone, because I love you.

No te rindas
By Mario Benedetti.

No te rindas, aún estás a tiempo
De alcanzar y comenzar de nuevo,
Aceptar tus sombras,
Enterrar tus miedos,

In order to stay motivated visit the page : http://kudo.io/motivate .
It was made by Linus Ekenstam , co founder of copygram , and it has the characteristic good taste that this dude imprint in his work.
Personally I added the link to my home screen to get that extra boost when needed.
Enjoy,

Las Meninas de…

The existence of Master Pieces on art is no secret. They are the source of inspiration of many artists because they made a breakthrough on their field and perhaps being surpassed.

The maximum form of tribute that an artist can pay to another is doing the reinterpretation of that material. Why ?because it means that it has impacted the life of the performer and because it implies that the admiration is enormous and that the person is willing to take that other persons work and make it is own , to then publicly expose those studies and manifest the infatuation towards the celebrated one.

Next are presented a series of paintings that were inspired by Velázquez’s Meninas.A painting that has been named as perfection by the art world and that has been redone and influenced other painters of different eras and painting movements , that latter the redone style has been the inspiration of more artist, becoming an infinite source of creativity, that perhaps have been inserted in our personal world without noticing or having the knowledge of it.

Enjoy,

P.S. : If you wish to see more of the sketches and reinterpretations that Picasso did of the Meninas you can go Museu Picasso website to give them a glimpse and also if you wanna visit it with your flesh and bones you can go to Barcelona and see the paintings. For the Picasso and Hamilton canvases you can go and visit El Museo Del Prado in Madrid.

Jenny Woods (Bunny Jenny) VS. Tyler Shields.

Inspiration knocks at our doors in different ways, forms, muses and ideas. At the same time we can trigger creativity by working hard, connecting dots in your brain about different experiences and working the muscles of your mind by having new experiences but you can not do the same with inspiration.

As a person that is always looking new ways to get inspired and creative sometimes you most wonder where do a certain idea came from and what was the source that generated it. The collective incontinence, all the previous works done before yours ,that you have already inhaled play an important part and sometimes they get stamped in your mind ,without you noticing it. So the real challenge when doing art is to take all those ideas that rumble your mind and that have a previous existence ; is to grab them close to you and start a new personal approach and journey that can have a micro or macro scale , and convert them into new worlds and give life to a new piece.

But what happens when you think you had a great idea and turns out you didn’t and it was just plagiarism? Until what point inspiration becomes pure steal? What if you never realize that happened? Sometimes concepts gets framed in your head and then you spit a new work and it turns out it wasn’t yours, that have already been done. Also there is a chance that global tendencies, developments and events of the world generate very similar new concepts in different locations but publication and work procedure can prove the authenticity of the work.

Next is presented the work of two different American photographers who did very alike work. One is Jenny Woods a.k.a Bunny Jenny, a 19 year old girl from Florida who is autodidact and have been publicly working on her craft since she was 16 ,and have became a sensation over flickr where you can observe the early beginnings of her mature work until the most recently improved one. And the other is Tyler Shields a famous photographer who also does video portraits of celebrities of the entertainment industry and that have gain popularity through it.

The Bunny Jenny’s photos showed are the solo work of Woods in her room and a year later her boss at her Local Newspaper made the video presented next from the original photography and idea that Jenny did before. Posing herself as the model in both concepts.

In shields work you can see actress Dianna Agron as the model.

Enjoy,

P.S: An artist shouldn’t be entirely judge just by one piece.
